Mountaineering Expedition

Nepal's beautiful garden of Himalayan peaks contains eight out of the world's fourteen 8000 meters peaks including the highest of all, Everest, first summitted by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay on 29 May 1953. The Nepal government has opened all of the eight-thousanders for mountaineering expeditions, together with 238 of our 1,310 peaks above 6000 meters. 'Mountaineering expedition' means an expedition to any mountain peak with the intention of reaching the summit.

The number of visitors seeking the adventure and challenge of mountaineering expeditions in Nepal is increasing every year.
